Breakfast with the Principal

An interactive session was held for the achievers of class V ( Session 2014-15) with the Principal,  Supervisory In-charge and the coordinator of the class recently.  The students had an interesting interaction as they shared their memorable experiences,  their expectations and their goals on the breakfast table.  The Principal, Mrs Chitra Nakra congratulated the students on their remarkable achievements over the past years and expressed her hope that these students will keep bringing laurels to the school.  Supervisory In-charge Ms Vandana Chawla also encouraged the students to perform even better in their upcoming endeavours and blessed them with her words of wisdom.  The students were also very pleased to have an interaction with Ms Shilpa Krishnamurthy and Ms Niharika Goswami.

An Educational Visit

The Junior Wing of VVDAV Public School organised an educational visit to National Museum of Natural History, New Delhi for the students of classes IV and V recently. The visit was much liked by the students as it tickled their curiosity to know the unknown.  They thoroughly took interest in the exhibits and shared their knowledge among one another. The visit encouraged the young minds to dig out further information on the creations of nature.

EARTH DAY

The Junior Wing of VVDAV Public School celebrated Earth day recently.  An array of eco-friendly activities were organised to mark the occasion.  Students presented greeting cards to teachers with beautiful messages on saving the planet written on them . Students also initiated a litter Free campaign and urged everyone to segregate the wastes based on their nature before disposing them off.  Students were also encouraged to bring lunch packed in cloth napkins and reduce the use of foil papers, poly bags etc.  They were also educated on the utility of a compost pit as an essential source of manure for agriculture. The celebration spread the message of adoption of three'R' s - reduce,  refuse and recycle.  Conservation of electricity and water was also stressed upon.

Cleanliness Drive

The Junior Wing of Veda Vyasa DAV Public School organised a cleanliness drive recently. The drive was designed to sensitize the young minds about the importance and necessity of a clean and hygienic surrounding both at home and school.  Students enthusiastically took part in the drive and made it a success

Hawan -Creating Spiritualism

A hawan was held recently for the students of classes IV and V marking the beginning of a  new session. The students and teachers prayed for universal peace and harmony in the hawan. Emphasis was laid on the spiritual and intellectual development of the students to help them emerge as responsible citizens of the country.

Spellathon

The junior wing of Veda Vyasa DAV Public School organised a Spellathon competition for the students of class IV recently. The competition was designed to showcase the word power and vocabulary of the students.  Students participated with great enthusiasm and enjoyed the interesting rounds.  IV B and IV E jointly bagged the first position in the competition.
