Zenith.....VVDAV shines at the Sports Carnival

Veda Vyasa DAV Public School,Vikas Puri held its Annual Sports Day Zenith- the Sports Carnival with great pomp and enthusiasm  recently.
Former Director-General (Prisons) and Special Commissioner of Police (General Administration and Planning and Implementation)Ms Vimla Mehra was the Chief Guest of the event. Other distinguished guests included Chairman Dr N.K Uberoi, Mr. S.K Jain,Manager of the school,  Principal Mrs.Chitra Nakra  and the PTA members.

Aditi Jha and Shaurya Pandey were awarded with the title of the Sport's Girl and Sport's Boy of the Junior Wing respectively . Students participated in various categories of sporting events and showcased their physical prowess and fitness. The efforts put in by the budding sportsmen of the school were remarkable and acclaimed the appreciation of one and all present in the event. 

The cultural items presented by the students were highly appreciated by the guests. The performances left the audience enthralled and highly won their admiration.

HT Workshop at VVDAV

On the auspicious occasion of the festival of lights, Diwali, innovative workshops were held at the Primary Wing of Veda Vyasa DAV Public School . Students were taught how to make colourful greeting cards and decorate earthen diyas. The students enjoyed every bit of the activity and showcased their creative talents using items of daily use.

English Debate Competition (IV and V)

Students of classes IV & V participated in an English Debate Competition recently. While the topic of debate in class IV centered round the importance of games and sports versus studies, students of class V vehemently argued and put forth their arguments in favour and against watching Television versus reading books. The participants in support as well opposing the motions tried their best to support their points with convincing justifications . Sreenandana (IV-i)and Pratyusha Nair (IV-C) bagged the first and second positions respectively.  Pragya Singh of V-i was awarded the first prize whereas Sanya Singh and Harshita Boolchandani bagged the second position.

Innovative minds at work


Students of Innovation Club made pen/ pencil holders using newspaper and bowls using pepsi bottles. They used their imagination and creative skills to make these items of daily use. The holders came out beautifully and the creative minds were elated to see their innovations.

Science Activity in Class V

Learning by doing :
Students of class V enthusiastically performed experiments on air to study about the components of air and uses of various gases present in the air. Students used candles, glasses and some other items of daily use while performing this experiment.  It was an awesome learning experience for the young minds as they were able relate the concept with their day to day life.
